Painting station
The painting processing station is used for simulated painting of the cars and vans in Car Production. The painting station communicates with the ERP Lab and informs it of the painting progress. The ERP-Lab in turn talks to the function board of the car via WLan. The RGB LEDs of the board are controlled according to the ordered car color and color the car.
The painting process is controlled by digital signals from the PLC. Four signals are used to select the color. The painting process in the corresponding color selection is started via a further signal. Multiple painting processes in different colors are possible.
For the simulated painting process, the two doors on the input and output sides of the station must be closed. The opened or closed doors are sensed by end position sensors. A fan as exhaust is mounted at the top of the station and must also be controlled. Inside the station, LED strips are mounted on both sides to show the actual painting process.
All digital inputs and outputs of the station are connected to an Arduino microcontroller. The USB interface of the controller is led to the outside. Thus a reprogramming of the controller is possible.
