MobileTrain "Fundamentals of AC/DC and Three-Phase Electrical Systems"
The portable training system is a modern training system especially designed to introduce students to the basic principles of electrical circuits using direct current (DC), alternating current (AC) and three-phase (3P) power. It provides a complete, high-quality and cost-effective solution for the rapid transmission of knowledge concerning electricity and electrical circuits.
The following components are mounted to the front of the AC/DC training system:
- DC power source (protected)
- AC power source (protected)
- Low-voltage three-phase power supply
- A selection of resistors
- A coil wired in parallel with a fluorescent tube
- Two capacitors
- 3:1 transformer
- 1:1 transformer
- A selection of switches and buttons: SPST, SPDT, DPDT, NO pushbutton, NC pushbutton, selector switch
- DC relays
- AC relays
- A selection of indicator lamps: green, yellow, red
- Potentiometer
- DC motor
- Resistors in star (wye) circuit configuration
- Resistors in delta circuit configuration
- Solenoid coil
- Horn
- Circuit breaker with test function
- Compass
- Iron rod (for electromagnetism experiments)
The AC/DC training system also includes six embedded faults, each of which can be introduced into the system with a toggle switch. These fault conditions are designed to test and improve the troubleshooting skills of the students.
