IoT climate monitoring

Lucas-Nülle’s IoT Climate Monitoring training system allows learners to independently develop a CO2 traffic light in the classroom. Using the built-in sensors, they can record the CO2 content, temperature and humidity of the room air. In addition, they learn how to program a controller using the Ardublock graphical programming language and how to process the measured data. The popular Arduino development environment is used for this.

The measured data is used to operate an RGB matrix with 54 LEDs in such a way that, like a traffic light, it displays a clear, colour-coded quality assessment of the indoor air. An OLED display is also available for displaying the measured data. The integrated WLAN module enables wireless communication between multiple climate monitoring devices. This allows you to use values measured at different measuring points when assessing the quality of the room air. In combination with the IoT Climate Monitoring Starter Set (CO3620-1D), it enables the step-by-step implementation of an IoT (Internet of things) application, thus allowing you to access the measurement data from any Internet-enabled device.
