Compact level control kit including vessel, tank, pump and sensors

The filling level measurement training system is for experiments in automatic control technology that are both educational and based on practice. Liquid level and flow can both be measured with one instrument.

Since the controlled variable, the height of liquid in the vessel is clearly visible, it makes the experiment easy to observe and makes for a good introduction to automatic control technology. The compact educational apparatus includes the vessel to be filled, a pressure transducer to determine the current filling height and a separate reservoir and pump.

So that the pump achieves constant pumping power, a secondary control loop with a flow rate meter which can shut off the system as necessary is integrated into the set-up. Disturbance variables can be simulated by means of adjustable throttle valves that alter the flow rate to and from the vessel. Quick-release plugs are available for connecting an optional second vessel in order to create a second order controlled system.
