Ultimaker PLA filament bundle
Ultimaker PLA filament
The original Ultimaker PLA filament (polylactic acid) with intelligent material detection using NFC technology was specially developed for the Ultimaker product family. Ultimaker PLA is produced from organic and renewable resources. It is safe, easy to print, and offers a broad range of applications both for beginners and advanced users.
- Minimal particle emissions, so also well-suited for use in offices and training facilities
- Offers high-resolution printouts
- Prints models and prototypes, including extremely fine details
- Not suitable for applications at temperatures above 50° C
- NFC chip - intelligent material detection
Technical data PLA filament:
- Material: PLA
- Printing temperature: 200 °C - 220° C
Ultimaker PVA filament
The original Ultimaker PVA material is a water-soluble filament and was specially developed as a support material for the Ultimaker 3 / S3. PVA serves only as a support material, which, upon completion of the printing process, is eliminated entirely by immersion in a water bath for a period of time. As a consequence, the filament can be used only with dual extruder FDM printers. The major advantage of PVA is that it lets the designer ignore geometric limitations when generating a 3D model. The material is perfectly adapted for use with Ultimaker PLA and nylon filaments. Cura offers its own material profiles for these combinations. In our view, the Ultimaker 3 currently has no equal among desktop FDM printers when it comes to printing highly complex 3D models.
