Course contents:

• Introduction to the principles of pulse-width modulation (PWM) and pulse-width demodulation
• Recording the signal characteristic at the output of a pulse width modulator
• Investigation of the output signal from a PWM demodulator
• Investigation of the demodulated signal with relation to the bandwidth of the input signal
• Listing the advantages and disadvantages of PWM
• Introduction to the principle of pulse-position modulation (PPM) and demodulation
• Recording the change in signal at the output of a pulse-position modulator
• Measurement of signal internal to a demodulator over time
• Listing the advantages and disadvantages of PPM
