The load unit for the workstation is required for project exercises in On/off hydraulics. The load unit is used to generate mechanical tension and compression forces acting on the piston rod of a hydraulic cylinder. The differential cylinder  contained in the equipment sets “On/off hydraulics - getting tarted” and “On/off hydraulics - manual and electric operation” is used in the load unit. The differential cylinder is attached via an easy-to-use clamp technique securely onto the load unit. A rod with mounted clevis connects the piston rod of the differential cylinder directly with the weights. The load unit has 4 weights, each with 4 kg / 8.8 lbs, which can be incorporated into the lower part or upper part of the load unit to simulate tensile or compressive forces. The differential cylinder must be swiveled in order to change from tensile to compressive forces. It must be dismantled to do so. To prevent injury, the load unit is housed, access is via two easy-to-open transparent plastic doors.
