Spur/bevel gearing
The spur/bevel gear drive has an overall gear ratio of i = 7.3 and a hollow drive shaft diameter of 25mm for connection to the belt module. An acrylic sight glass lets the student see inside the gearbox and an adjustable overload clutch prevents gearbox damage.
Consisting of:
- 1x Housing with cover
- 1x Short bevel gear shaft
- 1x Bevel gear shaft
- 1x Coupling shaft
- 1x Output shaft
- 4x helical spur gears (CuSn) module = 2
- 2x straight spur gears (POM) module = 3
- 1x Safety coupling
- 2x Spherical roller bearings
- 5x Ball bearings
- 2x Radial shaft seals
- 1x Hand wheel
- Various standard parts
All parts are made of stainless steel (CrNi), bronze (CuSn) and plastic (POM). 2 spare spur gears with different modules are included. For belt operation, it is easy to mount and secure the adapter shaft in the belt drive shaft. The plastic handwheel can be removed and an adapter flange with 4 socket-head screws can be installed.
This permits this installation of an electric motor with a speed range of 500-2600 rpm and a clutch. The aluminium housing is ready to mount onto the base plate of the belt module.
