Gear drive for condition monitoring

The LN gear drive can be used to create and investigate the following fault scenarios:

• Alignment errors (parallel and skewed arrangement of drive and driven machine)
• Imbalance in the drive system
• Bearing damage
• Gearbox damage

The gearbox comprises an asynchronous motor with flange-mounted gears adapted for education purposes. The special design configuration enables alignment and conversion of the training system by means of simple tools.

• Asynchronous motor 0.55 kW, 1405 rpm

• Special coupling to create imbalance
• Driven shaft with bearing damage

• Reservoir for collecting gear oil enables replacement of gearbox components without excessive oil loss
