Charging cable mode 2 type 2 13A 4m VDE
With the portable charging cable mode 2, also known as the emergency charging cable, an electric or hybrid vehicle can be charged at any standard household electrical socket (earthed wall socket) or CEE socket. It is intended for use when no hardwired charging station is available. In this case, the control unit (IC-CPD) takes over all safety-related functions, such as temperature management and the automatic reduction of charging current if the system overheats. These charging cables are portable devices and must also be inspected and tested at regular intervals according to DIN/EN.
